Europe Threat

On Sunday the Obama administration warn all Americans to be careful in Europe. According to the administration there have been reports of high potential Terrorists threats, and highly warned Americans in the states traveling to Europe as well as Americans living in Europe to up or enhance their security in public places to ensure safety. According to UsaToday.com this alert is one step below a formal travel warning advising citizens not to visit Europe. What is known as current information is that Al-Qaeda and other organizations of such continue to plan an attack on Europe. From this information People including myself can see that even now the world is still a very dangerous place to be. While it’s true That the president is trying to do a lot for our country what will he do to try to delay the hatred we all feel from countries such as Islam?, We need a plan for our people don’t you agree that we Congress needs to give this some thought.

  1. I think Michaels article is very alarming. It reminds us how careful you must be. I agree with him that the world today is not always a safe place to be. In an article about the terrorists, http://www.khastv.com/news/local/Americans-warned-to-stay-alert-traveling-in-Europe-104312764.html it sounds a little less serious then Mikes article explains, but at the same time it talks about how the terrorists are making traveling harder for citizens. As for people discriminating against the Islam, the president can only do so much to change his citizen’s thoughts and views on them. He can say his opinion but he cannot change their minds.

  2. Perhaps you can elaborate on what you mean by "discriminating." And there's no need for the "the" to accompany "Islam." Islam is quite strong enough to stand on its own.

  3. I think President Obama is correct in warning Americans to be aware of possible terrorists' activities and thin possibility of threats. It has been documented that in Germany and many other European countries that Taliban training is taking place. Militants are planning to join forces with the Taliban to fight against NATO forces in Afghanistan.Americans planning to visit Europe or those Americans living there could be targeted. I am not sure of what Congress could do to keep Americans safe in Europe but perhaps security here can be increased.

  4. I agree 100% with Mr. Delagrange there is violence and terrorism all around the world. Just recently in the news there was a man shot and killed in Mexico by the drug cartel. This should open people's eyes because not all terrorism is just in the middle east, its all over, Northern Ireland, Africa, and even Canada, http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2010/08/26/ottawa-rcmp-arrest-folo.html. Obama also did the right thing in warning people traveling to Europe and American's living in Europe of the threats. It shows that he is trying to stop all terrorism, and it backs up his withdrawal of troops from the Middle East.

  5. I agree that President Obama is taking all precautions in trying to ensure the safety of Americans in Europe. As USA Today says, President Obama has been holding national security meetings in order to monitor the terrorist plots and also help keep American citizens safe. I believe he has made a smart decison in informing Americans about this arising problem, but I'm sure citizens will be taking the extra precautions in keeping him or herself safe.
