It’s nothing new seeing Lindsay Lohan in the news for getting herself in trouble. The sweet little girl from The Parent Trap has now been to rehab five times and was just released from her last session one month ago. As far as we know, since she’s been out she has been doing well and trying to get her life back on track. Although, that may have ended this past week. Lindsay was spotted wearing a $2500 one of a kind necklace that was reported stolen on January 22. She denies this accusation and says her stylist gave it to her to wear. The LAPD has filed a service warrant but, in their research found that “prior to the warrant, the necklace was returned.” The store Kamofie & Company has given the LAPD a surveillance video of Lindsay in their store the day the necklace disappeared. This isn’t the first time she has been accused of stealing, but the last few times have been overlooked and unpunished. This time, it is being investigated and if found guilty, she will be going to jail. No more rehab visits or second chances.-emily kohut

Emily, I'm about as interested in this as I am interested in detention duty; however, as a country that prides itself in the rule of law, I think most of us agree that the rule of law should be applied equally no matter who you are or how much money you make.
ReplyDeleteThis really is nothing new. She is just another star with too much money, time, and not enough guidance. Lindsay should be put in jail if she stole the necklace. Just because she used to be a star does not mean that she should be excused. The famous should have to pay for thier crimes just like the rest of us.

I think she should be punished as a normal citizen of the Untied states and not looked at as a celebrate because it is bias for our court system to play favorites and offer second chances to the rich and famous. A few celebrates that got off easy is Big Ben, O.J and Dante Stall worth but all got off with a hefty fine and loss of image!!! --Greg McMullen
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mr. Milo that Lindsay Lohan is not an important part of current news in the US and that the way she is punished really doesn't affect us at all. However I believe she should be given time in jail because she DID commit a crime. I just don't think anyone really cares about Lindsay Lohan.-Katie Cottrill
ReplyDeletei agree with Mr. Milo and Katie that this is not real news. It is celebrity news which really does not affect anyone expect lindsay. I am happy that she is finally going to jail, but who really cares about what happens to lindsay lohan these days anyway?- alanna Ryan
